Turkey is a transcontinental country located mainly on the Anatolian Peninsula in western Asia, with a small portion on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe. It shares borders with the Black Sea to the north; Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran to the east; Iraq to the southeast; Syria and the Mediterranean Sea to the south; the Aegean Sea to the west; and Greece and Bulgaria to the northwest. Cyprus is located off the southern coast.

Its Capital is Ankara and Turk, is its nationality, includes all citizens of the Republic of Turkey, without distinction or reference to race or religion; ethnic minorities have no official status.

Turkish nationality or citizenship is the legal bond that unites a natural person with the Republic of Turkey and attributes the status of citizen. The law of this nationality is based on the legal concept of
ius sanguinis (right of blood). In other words, being the child of at least one Turkish citizen is the main method of acquiring citizenship. This applies regardless of the child's place of birth.

This nationality grants rights to the people who possess it, but also obligations.

In Turkey, the coastal areas of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas have a Mediterranean-type climate, with hot, dry, mild summers and wet, mild, or cold winters. Turkey's Black Sea coast has a temperate oceanic climate with hot, humid summers and cooler winters.


The official language is Turkish, although 12% of the population speaks Kurdish. Other languages ​​such as Arabic, Bosnian, Zazaki and Circassian are also spoken.

Turkey has a population of 84,680,273 people, is a highly populated country and has a population density of 108 inhabitants per km².

The official currency of Turkey is the Turkish lira. One of these is equivalent to 1.11 in Mexican pesos

Currently, coins of 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 kuruş (100 kuruş equals 1 lira) and 1 lira are in circulation. As for banknotes, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 are used.


They practice soccer more regularly and athletics is the most practiced in Turkey

Normally Turks eat cold dishes during the summer, Turkish cold dishes are delicious, usually without meat but with lots of fresh vegetables like leek with carrots, green peppers stuffed with rice, fresh green beans, yogurt salads.

One way to maintain their hygiene is through the Turkish bathrooms, which occupied a very important place in Ottoman aquatic architecture, they are concentrated in Istanbul and Bursa.


It is a flat stone made of marble at a height of 40 or 50 centimeters from the ground. Baths have many benefits other than health. Due to the closed structure of Ottoman society, Turkish baths were more of a place for personal hygiene.

The progress made by Turkey this year in addressing environmental issues and climate change has put it firmly on the path to a green economy.

The country has taken important steps like banning free plastic bags and declaring November 11 as National Forest Day, as well as sending delegations to climate talks.

This year began with Parliament's ban on handing out free plastic bags in Turkey, causing usage to drop by 77%. Most plastic bags now sell for 0.25 Turkish lira ($0.05), including 0.15 lira ($0.03) that goes to environmental projects.
